Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Professional School Counselor and licensed teacher. Since earning her Masters of Science in Counseling (M.S) and Education Specialist (Ed.S) degrees from UNC Greensboro in 2019, she has worked in a variety of settings providing counseling services to children and adolescents. She has over 8 years of experience working in the North Carolina public schools, and a passion for supporting families with school age children.

Lauren considers it a privilege to collaborate and problem-solve alongside clients in their journey to emotional wellness. She works from a strengths-based, person-centered approach, towards the goal of building an authentic and healing relationship with her clients and their families. Lauren especially loves working with teens, and helping them to build emotional and relational skills while deepening their understanding of themselves. She celebrates each client’s individuality in therapy and builds a treatment plan which best serves their needs.

Lauren specializes in helping clients who struggle with stress, fear and anxiety. She also has experience supporting folks through depression, academic stress, ADHD, family issues, grief, self-esteem concerns, college and career planning, and more.

When she is not working with clients and students, Lauren can be found on the trails around Durham and Chapel Hill with her loving (and enthusiastic) pitbull, Mooch. She loves going to concerts, playing sand volleyball, and making pottery.
